Becoming a superior Study Program in the field of Industrial Biology with global insight based on morality and Islamic ethics.
Vision will be achieved by 2020.

1. Organizing academic programs in the quality and standardized Biology Study Program nationally and internationally.
   
2. Increase research activities for lecturers and students, and encourage the creation of a good research climate, so that quality research is carried out.
   
3. Improve the quality and quantity of service and community service.
   
4. Improve the quality and quantity of cooperation with government and private sector at national and international levels in the implementation of education, research and community service.

The Biology Study Program aims

1. Able to develop professional HR competencies in the field
   
2. Produce research that supports the development of education and teaching in the field of technology-based biology.
   
3. Providing services / community services using all relevant resources.
   
4. Providing expertise services to the community in developing in the field of biology based on technology.
   
5. Produce cooperation in the field of improving quality with various institutions both domestically and abroad by carrying out real programs in order to educate the ummah.

Government institutions related to Biology science, industry, entrepreneur, trainer, lecturer and teacher especially at High School.

The graduates understand biology, are skillful in managing idea, concept, problem, invention, development, and biology application, and actively participate in the research development and biology application. They are highly curious, sensitive to biology development locally and globally, apreciate the originality of idea, concept, and other inventions, apreciate inter-discipline effort in developing research to utilize the natural resources.

The lecturer qualification is 20% holding Doctoral degree, 60% holding master degree, and 20% currently studying master degree.  The lecturers graduated from national and international universities such as Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), and Bold University, USA, and are expertise in the fields of animal taxonomy, animal structure and growth, plant taxonomy, microbiology, molecular biology, general biotechnology, plant physiology, plant Eco-physiology, genetics, animal physiology, basic chemical, and biochemical.

The academic activities are supported by facilities such as representative classrooms with LCD, biology laboratory consist of microbiology laboratory, plant tissue culture laboratory, plant and animal physiology  laboratory, chemical laboratory, library and digital library, free internet access, and various scholarships (Bidikmisi, BBM, PPA, Supersemar, Dikpora Scholarship, scholarships from UAD partner banks, and others)

The students of Biology study program actively participate in various scientific programs such as National Student Scientific Week, Student Creativity Program, Student Scientific Paper Competition, Biology Olympiade, various innovative-productive activities in regional and national level, seminar, workshop, trainings held by Biology Students Organization and other student organizations.
