ARABIC LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

1. Organizing academic programs in a quality PS Arabic Language and Literature environment.
   
2. Increase research activities for lecturers and students, and encourage the creation of a good research climate, so that quality research is carried out.
   
3. Improve the quality and quantity of service and community service.
   
4. Establish cooperation with the government and the private sector at national and international levels in the implementation of education, research and community service.

1. Able to develop professional HR competencies in the field of linguistics and Arabic literature
   
2. Produce research that supports the development of education and teaching in the fields of linguistics and Arabic literature.
   
3. Providing services / community services using all relevant resources.
   
4. Providing expertise services to the community in the development of the scientific field of Arabic and matters related to Islamic sciences.
   
5. Collaborate with institutions that are oriented to the development of Arabic Language and Literature studies at the local, national, regional and international levels by conducting real programs in order to educate the nation.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Work Force and Transmigrassion, Minsitry of National Education, LIPI, Publishers, Journalists, NGO, translators, writers, lecturers, museums, tourism.

The graduates of the course are expected to  be proficient in Arabian : skillful in the use of language, translation, and capable of transfering their teaching knowledge and skill, as well as developing teaching models and a better understanding of Arabian language.

The teaching staff consists of permanent staff, non-permanent staff and visiting lecturers. Visiting lecturers consist of poets, sworn translators, writers, artists and scholars. There are currently 7 (seven) lecturers with post graduate qualifications, three of whom are undertaking doctoral programs.

Comfortable air-conditioned rooms and multi-media, language laboratory, computer laboratory, broadcasting studio, hotspot areas, dormitories, libraries. Other programs focuses on developing interests such as : study groups, ( debate, discussion, translation), scholarships, tuition fee subsidies, (Kemenag RI, Supersemar, UAD, Lazis, Bantuan Belajar Mahasiswa, Peningkatan Prestasi Akademik), double degree, student exchange programs with  Universiti Malaya (Malaysia) dan Canal Suez University (Mesir), alumni employment scheme in cooperation with Thailand, Malaysia, and Egypt.

The BSA program has recorderd a numbe of the following achievement:

1. First Winner, Essay Writing and Presentation in Arabian Language, University Students National Competetion, Pentas Budaya Arab, 2013, Hasanuddin University, represented by Ahmad Luqman Hakim and Muhammad Azwan.
2. Quarter finalists in National Debate in Arabian Language, Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an XIII semester students held at Universitas Andalas Padang represented by Ahmad Luqman Hakim dan Nurhasanah.
3. Semifinalist National Debate in Arabian Language University Students Level Middle East Festival, University of Indonesia, 2013, represented by  Ahmad Lukman Hakim.
