PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM

1. Carrying out education to produce psychology graduates who are noble and competent in dealing with the problems of people’s lives with the perspective of community psychology based on Islamic values
   
2. Developing education, research, and community service (Tri Dharma) oriented to social change through interventions in the form of prevention and promotion to achieve a prosperous and healthy society based on Islamic values
   
3. Applying learning methods that are oriented towards student center learning that is innovative, based on problem solving and stimulating and encouraging a continuous learning process Establishing cooperation with domestic and foreign agencies

Lecturers, teachers, experts, consultants, Human Resource Department, Government Officials, psychologists in hospitals, and Community Health Centers, private and government sector workers

Understand the basic theoritical concepts of Psychology, assesment tools, knowledge of non-pathological intervention and research key concepts. Other supporting competencies include the ability and skill in oral and written communication, and  interpersonal relationships. They are also expected to be able to draw their own career map, and demonstrate behavior which resonates with Islamic values and Muhammadiyah.

The teaching staff possess diferent areas of expertises in Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Psychometry, Clinical Psychology, and Social Psychology. The minimum requirement fo teaching qualification is S2 (postgrad) for Undergraduate programs and S3 (Doctoral ) for postgraduate programs.

Rooms with LCD, and audio visuals, library, mosque, canteen, parking lot, and Wifi. There is also a psychology laboratory with testing tools, psychology tool test room, counseling room, observation room, monitoring room and Psychology Service Unit which provides counseling on human resource development in the area of industry and organization such as recrutiment , potential review, employee placement, promotion, organizational analysis, trainings, performance appraisal, and job analysis. The department of psychology also provides consultancy on  tracking and developing students’ interest /talent and  intelligence test. Other services include consultancy on family matters, child development and growth, juvenile problems, clinical issues in adult and children, and group counselings.
