DEVELOPMENT ECONOMIC STUDY PROGRAM
The Development Economics program of UAD was established to address the challenges of globalization by combining brainware, hardware, software and networking. Students are equipped with knowledge about Islam to guide them through the realms of knowledge, its application and development The program was officially opened in 1994 with a vision to become a prominent program by 2020 in the area of applied economics which has global orientation whilst maintaining Islam as its uderlying values. The missions of the program are to conduct education, research and social services as a way of implementing knowledge of economics, to produce human resources who are capable of applying their knowledge of regional economy and assets, to develop partnership with different parties towards a globally oriented program and to enhance the understanding of Islam as a basis for the development of knowledge and academic life. Graduates of this program are awarded Sarjana Ekonomi ( S.E) degree

Become a superior study program in the fields of economics, assets and regionally-minded globally and based on Islamic values.

- Doing education and research and community service as a manifestation of implementing economics

Creating professional Muslim scholars in the fields of economics, regional and assets to make a real contribution to the development of society.
Graduates Prospects
Opportunities for employment are widely available in the area of development plan with government institutions (Bappenas, Bappeda), as an expert staff, researcher, stock exchange analyst, lecturer, and economic observer.
Competencies
Graduates are expected to possess the following competencies:
Core competency
1. Cognitive (Knowledge)
The ability to understand and apply knowledge, basic concepts and principles of economics related to regional economy and assets, work out a solution to existing problems and communicate it properly.
2. Psychomotoric (Skills)
The ability to observe and gauge macro economy indicators through tools of economic analysis, plan, design and do research on regional economy and assets involving identification of problems, analysis of problems, and evaluaton of outcomes ( the ability to select data, technique and relevant procedure)
3. Affective (Attitude)
Possessing character and personality as an academician and social being who upholds ethics and Islamic values and has the capability to stand up to future challenges in a globally dynamic environment.
Supporting competency
Communication skills in both spoken and writen forms using proper Indonesian and English, skills in selecting and navigating information, processing and presenting data, skills in using information technology based multimedia, and the ability to execute accounting process by making use of information technology and to plan, monitor, and evaluate as well as continuously renew ways to work more efficiently and effectively both individually and in groups.
Specific competency
Graduates have the ability to apply basic knowledge about regional economy and assets through case studies.
Lecturers
The teaching staff comprises 7 lecturers with master degree from either domestic or oversea education. Three of them are currently undertaking doctoral degree. They specialize in monetary economics, international economics, micro and macro economics, Indonesia economy, development plan, regional economics, assets assessment and management, human resource and environmental economics.
Supporting facilities
The teaching learning activities are supported by facilities such as LCD, Audio Visuals, library, mosque, cooperative, canteen, parking lot, sports area, polyclinics, chemist, Student dormitory, and wi-fi area. The department also hosts a laboratory equipped with 40 computers, AC, and LCD, and a share trade corner where students can do transactions in stock market and have access to data for researching purposes
