Become a superior study program and is known internationally in the knowledge and application in the field of electrical engineering, especially industrial automation and telematics based on Islamic values.

1. Organizes academic programs, research, and community services in the field of electrical engineering especially industrial automation, telecommunications, computers and information technology that are standardized nationally and internationally.
2. Organize cooperation with academics, industry and government both locally, nationally and internationally.implementing Islamic life guidelines in every academic and non-academic activity in the Electrical Engineering Study Program environment.

1. Produce graduates who are noble and professional in the field of electrical engineering especially industrial automation, telecommunications, computers and informatics, and innovative so that they can be independent entrepreneurs and compete in the national and international labor market.
2. Developing, utilizing and disseminating science and technology in the field of electrical engineering especially industrial automation, telecommunications, computers and information technology so that it is always relevant to the development of Indonesian development and the needs of the community.
3. Develop networks in the community and the global world to improve the quality of the tridharma of higher education in order to advance Islam and the world in general.

Based on the survey of graduates employability, 84 % of the graduates of this program acknowledge that their current jobs are related to their education background; they work in the area of Informatics Tehnology such as lecturers, IT technician, network engineer, web developer, IT Consultant, quality assurance staff and engineering experts.

The program is designed to equip students with the following competencies :

1. Mobile Application and Web Programming. This entails knowledge and ability to combine mobile and web based modules to develop and create application with certain features involving logical and systematic thinking in the process of accomplishing goals or solving problems.
2. Information system. This entails knowledge on how to build information system consisting of interconneceted components within a holistic environment.
3. Multimedia dan Soft Computing; This entails the knowledge to design and build intelligent system for multiple purposes by using several tools and techniques that incorporate intelligent concepts and principles such as  object extraction,image segmentation, and edge detection using soft computing techniques with extensive real-life application to image and multimedia data.

There are 26 lecturers, with one lecturer currently undertaking doctoral degree, 19 lecturers having postgraduate qualifications, and 6 lecturers are undertaking postgraduate study. Each lecturer specializes in different areas such as web and mobile programming, artificial intelligence, enterprise system, multimedia, computer network, security system and information system analysis. The teaching staff have been actively conducting research in line with their areas of research interests.

The Informatics Study has 4 computer laboratories, : Basic Computing Laboratory for research and learning, Computer Network Laboratory for research in the area of network and security system, Data Base Laboratory for teaching learning process  and research in the area of Informatics System, and Multimedia Laboratory for learning process and research in Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence system.

1. Mobile Application Competition, National Level, 2013, held by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, represented by Merlinda and team.
2. Drill Test ID-SIRTII 20013 National Competition, held by Indonesia Security Incident Response Team On Internet and Infrastructure /Cordination Center, represented by Erwin A. Latief and Drill team.
3. Winner of Research Grant for Student Creativity Program and Community Service (PKMM) with the title ‘ Counting Device for Fish Egg using Image Scanning Method“ held by Directorate of Research and Community Service (DP2M) DIKTI 2012. The research was conducted by Dinan Yulianto and team.
