INDONESIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE STUDY PROGRAM
Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Ahmad Dahlan University was established in 1981 with the proof of the Decree of Establishment of Study Program Number 0307/0/1981, signed by Dr. Daoed Joesoef. This study program has a vision in 2030 to be a superior, innovative, global-minded and Islamic-based study program, while its First mission is; organizes Indonesian language and literature education programs that are superior, innovative, have a global outlook and are based on Islamic values. Second; conducting research in the field of Indonesian language and literary education that is superior, innovative, has a global perspective and is based on Islamic values. Third; organize community service in the field of Indonesian language and literary education or other fields oriented to community empowerment. Fourth; developing a network of cooperation in the field of Indonesian language and literary education with institutions in the Persyarikatan Muhamamdiyah environment and other institutions, both nationally and internationally. The degree given to graduates is Bachelor of Education (S.Pd.).

- Organizing community service in the field of Indonesian language and literary education / other fields oriented to community empowerment.
- Develop a network of cooperation in the field of Indonesian language and literary education with institutions in the Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah and other institutions, both national and international.
Aim
- Produce graduates in the field of Indonesian language and literary education that are quality, science and technology, and imbued with Islamic values.
- Produce research in the field of Indonesian language and literary education so that the results of research that is quality, science and technology, and imbued with Islamic values are realized.
- Producing community service in the field of developing Indonesian language and literary education that is quality, science and technology, and Islamic values
- Produce collaboration in the field of Indonesian language and literary education with government and private institutions, both national and international.
Prospect of Graduates
PBSI Alumni can work as lecturers, teachers and researchers. In addition, PBSI alumni also have the opportunity to work as civil servants, journalists, writers, translators, book editors, public relations, and teaching BIPA (Indonesian for Foreign Speakers).
Competence
Graduate competency is based on 3 (three) things, namely:
1. Knowledge
Study program graduates are expected to have knowledge about Islamic education well so that when they have contributed to society, especially in education, they already have sufficient provisions.
2. Skills
Study program graduates are expected to have good abilities, especially in explaining material or delivering material with good teaching methods or methods. One form of learning and improving skills is the PPL program to schools for teaching practice.
3. Attitute
Study program graduates as candidates for Islamic education clearly must have good behavior and in accordance with Islamic teachings. For this reason, getting used to improving behavior to students is always reminded of how to say and behave well and look Islamic.

The teaching staff in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program FKIP UAD are 2 professors, 4 chief lectors, 5 professors and 14 expert assistants.
