PANCASILA AND CIVIC EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM



The Study Program of Pancasila and Citizenship Education at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta was established on February 23, 1987, with proof of Decree Number of establishment of Study Program No.009 / 0/1987 signed by Bambang Triantoro. The Operational Permit for the study program is No: 12367 / D / T / K-V / 2012.
With the motto “Be A Good Citizen” the PPKn Study Program always strives to develop human resources who are ready to become good citizens. The vision of the PPKn Study Program is that in 2030 it becomes a superior and innovative Study Program in producing education graduates in the Field of PPKn who are intelligent, skilled, have a sense of nationality and love the country, based on Islamic values. To make it happen, the PPKn Study Program has the following mission; First, organizing higher education to produce education scholars in the field of PPKn. Second, conducting scientific research and development in the field of Pancasila and Citizenship Education. Third, organizing community service in the field of Pancasila and Citizenship Education. Fourth, prepare graduates with Islamic values ​​and kemuhammadiyahan. Fifth, establish cooperation with local, national, and international agencies in scientific development efforts. The degree given to graduates is Bachelor of Education (S.Pd.).

Vision

In 2030 the PPKn Study Program at the Muhammadiyah LPTK was superior in producing education graduates in the PPKn Field who were intelligent, skilled, had a sense of nationality and love the country, based on Islamic values.

Mision

  1. Organizing higher education to produce undergraduate education in the field of PPKn.
  2. Organizing scientific research and development in the field of Pancasila and Citizenship Education.
  3. Organizing community service in the field of Pancasila and Citizenship Education.
  4. Preparing graduates with insight into Islamic values and Muhammadiyah.
  5. Establish cooperation with local, national, and international agencies in scientific development efforts.

Aim

  1. Produce education graduates in the field of PPKn who contribute in supporting the national education system.
  2. Produce beginner researchers and writers in the field of PPKn.
  3. Contribute to solving social problems in the community.
  4. Produce education scholars in the field of PPKn who can advance and disseminate the values of Pancasila and Citizenship in particular, and allied in general.
  5. Produce education graduates in the field of PPKn who have identity according to national values, Islamic values and Muhammadiyah.

Main Competency.
a. Cognitive aspects
1. Mastering knowledge about concepts / theories in social science, sociopolitical science, philosophy / ethics as an understanding of various aspects of social life
2. Mastering knowledge about educational theories / concepts
3. Mastering knowledge about the basic theories and concepts of PPKn

b. Affective aspects
1. Able to carry out the task of educating, educating, and instilling values, enthusiasm, soul, sense of community and nationality, and love of the motherland to students.
2. Able to understand, assess, and resolve problems of Pancasila education and citizenship.
3. Keep up with the development of science and technology dynamically in a sustainable manner
4. Actively participate in the scope of work, work environment, and educational and social organizations

c. Psychomotor aspects
1. Able to design PPKn learning tools with a system approach, to identify problems, set goals, and develop learning processes and components, so that learning tools can be used in learning at various levels of schooling;
2. Able to apply and develop learning tools with the scientific approach, to develop students’ potential to become good citizens, both at school and outside of school
3. Able to measure PPKn learning, using process and outcome approaches, both qualitative and quantitative, so that they get valid information about the behavior of student learning outcomes.
4. Able to convey the thoughts or results of research on PPKn development to the public using social media, so as to contribute to social change towards the formation of a good citizen

6. Being able to make decisions based on understanding, assessment, and practical experience in solving political, social, humanitarian and educational problems is in line with the values and concepts of Pancasila and Citizenship Education.
7. Able to follow the development of science and technology, and implement it to solve humanitarian, social and educational political problems in a sustainable manner
8. Actively participate in the scope of work, work environment, and political, social, kepalangmerahan, and scouting organizations.

3. Able to conduct research studies in the field of PPKn
4. Able to convey the thoughts or results of research on PPKn development to the public using social media, so as to contribute to social change towards the formation of a good citizen
5. Through scientific reasoning, using logical thinking, critical and innovative, is able to apply theory, concepts and technology, in the practice of political, social and educational life.
6. Able to apply and study knowledge and technology in the field of PPKn, based on scientific rules arranged in form, thesis / final assignment report, and produce social and political empowerment design designs, along with their descriptions based on standard design methods and rules.
7. Publish the results of the final assignment or design work and reports on the results of eighth practical activities that can be accessed by the academic community, through scientific publications
8. Communicate the design of social empowerment, political design, non-formal education, through various media to the public

Other competencies
1. Having a strong character of self, faith, and devotion to God Almighty in accordance with the life guidelines of Muhammadiyah citizens
2. Able to integrate intellectual and moral values in creative and community behavior
3. Able to implement the concept of kepalangmerahan and scouting in school.

Lecturers

The teaching staff in the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program FKIP UAD are 3 Chief Lectors, 2 Lecturers, 2 Expert Assistants and 2 Educational Personnel.

Supporting facilities

IT-based lecture rooms (LCD and Audio Visual), libraries, campus mosques, canteens, parking spaces, wifi areas, and also PPKn laboratories.
