PHYSICS EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM



The Physical Education Study Program organizes creative and innovative teaching and learning processes to produce capable graduates in the field of Physics education. Vision becomes a study program that excels in Physics learning technology, global quality, and is trusted in the cultivation of Islamic intellectual and moral values.

Vision

2030 becomes a Superior Physics Education Study Program in Physics Learning Technology, Global Insight, and with Islamic Values.

Mision

  1. Organizing educational programs in the field of Physics Education with a global perspective, trusted in the cultivation of Islamic intellectual and moral values.
  2. Conduct research that supports innovative learning in the field of physics education.
  3. Organizing community service in the field of physics education oriented to community empowerment.
  4. Organizing networks of cooperation in the field of physics education with fellow institutions in the Muhammadiyah community and other institutions both nationally and internationally.

Competence

Standard graduates of the Physics Education Study Program cover the standards of physical scientific competence, teaching competency standards, technology competency standards, and standards of knowledge & experience of Islamic values. Following are the Scientific Quality Standards:
1. Concept / Principles / Physics Law
Physics teachers thoroughly control the essential knowledge and skills needed to teach physics and understand the broad application of the principles of physics to real world situations (real world)
2. Mechanics of Strict Particles and Objects
Physics teachers understand the motion of particles and rigid objects in both qualitative and quantitative dimensions
3. Symptoms of a Wave
Physics teachers understand the nature, nature, and behavior of mechanical and electromagnetic waves, and how electromagnetic waves interact with matter
4. Thermodynamics
Physics teachers understand heat and matter5. Electromagnetics Physics teachers understand electricity and magnetism and the relationship between the two
6. Modern Physics
Physics teachers understand atomic and nuclear structures. Physics teachers understand the fundamentals of the elements and implications of special elites, rigid physics, and the physics of solids.

Lecturers

Teachers in the Physical Education Study Program are competent lecturers in accordance with their respective fields of expertise, namely the fields of education, Theoretical Physics, Particle Physics, Instrumentation Electronics, Computing and Instrumentation, Material Physics, and Experimental Physics.

Supporting facilities

Lectures at the Physics Education Study Program are supported by a number of facilities, including:

  1. Classrooms are equipped with LCDs, screens and air conditioners
  2. Science Technology & Education Laboratory
  3. Micro Teaching Laboratory
  4. Auditorium for the implementation of various academic needs, such as seminars, workshops, and public lectures
  5. The library that provides lecture reference books, journals, proceedings, and student theses.
  6. The courtroom and student thesis exam room
  7. The living room is used by the lecturer to receive guests both students, parents, or other guests who have academic interests
  8. Reading room, bookshelf, and study program textbooks

Student Achievement

Some excellent achievements, including:

  1. 1st Winner of the 2012 MIPA College National Olympics (ON MIPA PT) held by Kopertis Wilayah V, on behalf of Alvera Wulandhanik.
  2. 2nd Winner of the 2012 MIPA College National Olympics (ON MIPA PT) held by Kopertis Wilayah V, on behalf of Mentari Cahya Nisa.
  3. 3rd Winner in Kopertis Physics Olympiad Region V, 2009, on behalf of Fitrah Prihatini.
