MASTER OF PHARMACY

The postgraduate program facilitates the educational process for students from various regions of Indonesia and also abroad with the following mission:

The graduates of Pharmacy Postgraduate have specific skills in:

1. Team work which means they can effectively work as the part of professional team

3. Information technology which means they can use the IT devices effectively including the skill in medicine information retrieval
4. Al-Islam: Islamic treatment

To achieve the competency, the study program cooperates with the company, state and private institution, national and international universities. The cooperation with some universities abroad gives a lot of opportunities for the postgraduate students UAD to participate in various programs such as student mobility, short course, double degree, credit transfer system, etc. Student mobility is an annual program that can be attended by every postgraduate student of all study programs at any semester, and the alumni. The activities are international seminar, joint lecture, schools and universities visit. During the seminar, the participants present their papers and the papers are included into the proceeding. For the Pharmacy postgraduate students who have active English skill and meet the requirements can attend the clinical lecture at Prince of Songkhla University (PSU) Thailand.

The lecturers of Pharmacy Postgraduate program hold Doctoral and Master degree. There are 19 lecturers who graduated from universities in Indonesia and 15 lecturers from universities abroad. Each lecturer has competency in their fields such as chemistry, pharmacology, clinical pharmacy, pharmacy analysis, medicinal chemistry, pharmacy biology, pharmacy analysis, pharmaceutics, pharmacy technology, Islamic treatment, etc.

Student practical activities are supported by integrated research laboratories, chemistry laboratory, pharmacy biology laboratory, pharmacology laboratory, pharmaceutics and pharmacy technology laboratory. Some instruments in the laboratories are HPLC, Spectrophotometer, UV, Densitometer, Oven, Experiment Animal Cage, tablet machine, big scale drier, etc.

The existence of LAN internet access facilities (computer facilities), and Hotspot area, libraries equipped with digital library (http://digilib.uad.ac.id) and comfortable discussion room to support student activities in studying pharmacy. The classrooms those are equipped with air-Cond, LCD projector, audio visual, etc, are part of best services to create comfortable academic atmosphere as the study place. The UAD drug store, student cooperation, lecturer-staff cooperation also ease the students to access various necessity during at UAD.
