The Colloquy of Commissariat of IMM TDI

Lasted on Saturday to Thursday (28-31/5/16), Muhammadiyah College student association of commissariat board of Islamic Education and Teacher Training, University of Ahmad Dahlan (IMM TDI UAD) carried out the XIV commissariat Colloquy (Musykom).

The colloquy was conducted in the hall of Muhammadiyah Provincial executive board building, Yogyakarta Special Province (PWM DIY), Gedong Kuning Street, Kotagede, Yogyakarta. 

The session was led by three chairpersons namely Rezaldy Romeo, Suwandi, and M. Akbar Fadhilah. The “Musykom” run dynamically as there was long discussion among the participants. 

The participants of Musykom came from various representatives of IMM cadres. They were from the representative of all commissariat boards of UAD, coordinator of commissariat, and IMM Branch of Djasman Alkindi Yogyakarta.

As usual, there were some agendas of sessions discussed at Musykom. They were sessions of rules, accountability report of the Commissariat Board of the 2015-2016 period, commission, and formateur election.

At the formateur session, there had been elected IMMawan Irfan Zamzani, the fourth semester student of Language and Arabic Literature Study Program, FTDI. (AKN)   

UAD Held Great Proselytizing To Welcome Ramadhan

People all over the world have sensed good fragrant of the fasting month Ramadhan. To welcome the month full of prosperity, blessings, and forgiveness. University ofAhmad dahlan (UAD) with its Board of University Student Executives (BEM-U) held ‘Great Proselytizing to Welcome the Sacred Month of Ramadhan.’

The event with the theme, ‘Be clean, Make Up Our Motives to Welcome The Sacred Month of Ramadhan,’ was attended by thousands of UAD students and public.

 Ustadz Rudjito and Dr. H. agus Taufiqurrahan, S.Ps.,M.Kes were speakers in the proselyterizing held last Tuesday (24/05/2016) from 19.30 to 21.30 Local time.

The event was also attended by chiefs of UAD. The event took the venue at  Ahmad Dahlan Mosque in Islamic Center Complex UAD on South Ring Road , Bantul.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Faiz, Vice President of UAD Student Body said in his speech, This Great Proselytizing is a medium to consolidate Student Bodies (BEM) of faculties at UAD. We hope the successive events will be more of greater advantage.’

Faiz added that those who were present at the event will sacrifice for good deeds and for their future.

‘We can do our best to be blessed at the beautiful night of Ramadhan Lailatul Qadat and Nuzulul Qur’an,’ said Abdul Fadlil, M.T. Vice Rector III of UAD said.

Fadlil suggested the audience improve themselves physically and spiritually from now on. ‘May Allah give us chances to carry out prayers during Ramadhan well so that we will be sacred man.’ (AKN)

UAD Adakan Tabligh Akbar Guna Menyambut Bulan Ramadhan

Wewangian pahala yang berlimpah tampaknya sudah mulai tercium oleh seluruh umat muslim di muka bumi ini. Untuk menyambut datangnya bulan yang penuh rahmat, berkah, serta ampunan, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) melalui Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Universitas (BEM-U), mengadakan “Tabligh Akbar Guna Menyambut Bulan Suci Ramadhan”.

Dalam tabligh akbar yang mengambil tema “Bersihkan Hati, Luruskan Niat dalam Menyambut Bulan Suci Ramadhan” tersebut, dihadiri oleh mahasiswa UAD dan masyarakat umum yang mencapai ribuan peserta.

Bersama Ustadz Rudjito dan Dr. H. Agus Taufiqurrahman, S.Ps., M.Kes. menjadi pemateri dalam acara yang diselenggarakan pada Selasa (24/5/2016), pukul 19.30-21.30 WIB tersebut.

Selain mahasiswa, para pemimpin di UAD pun turut serta dalam acara yang diselenggarakan di Masjid Ahmad Dahlan, Kompleks Islamic Center UAD, Jalan Ringroad Selatan, Bantul itu.

Dalam kesempatan kali ini, Muhammad Faiz, sebagai Wakil Presiden Mahasiswa berujar dalam sambutannya, “Tabligh Akbar ini sekaligus menjadi gerakan dalam merangkul BEM Fakultas. Semoga kegiatan selanjutnya akan membawa manfaat yang lebih besar.”

Selanjutnya, kata Faiz, peserta yang hadir di acara tersebut adalah pejuang kebenaran di masa depan.

“Kita dapat melakukan suatu hal dengan sebaik-baiknya untuk mencapai suatu malam yang indah di bulan Ramadhan, yaitu malam Lailatul Qadar dan Nuzulul Qur’an,” ungkap Abdul Fadlil, M.T. yang merupakan Wakil Rektor III UAD.

Fadlil mengajak peserta untuk bersama-sama memperbaiki diri, baik secara lahiriah maupun batiniah dari sekarang.

“Mudah-mudahan Allah memberi kekuatan dan kesempatan pada kita untuk menjalankan Ramadhan, serta dapat menjadi insan yang kembali pada fitrah.” (AKN)

 

 

Welcoming Ramadhan Happily

It is the Prophet’s Muhammad SAW message delivered by many proselytizers when Ramadhan approaches. The same message was given by two proselytizers at Grand Proselytizing to Welcome The Sacred Month of Ramadhan.

Dr. H. Agus Taufiqurrahman, S.Ps., M.Kes. and Ustadz Rudjito spoke the same thing as they were proselytizing with the theme, ‘Be clean, Make Up Our Motives To Welcome The Sacred Month of Ramadhan,’

The event was held at Ahmad Dahlan Mosque at Islamic Center UAD, South  Ring Road, Bantul, last Tuesday (24/05/2016) attended by students of University of Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) and public.

Rudjito said that there were somethings to do in our lives especially during the sacred month of Ramadhan, Firstly, being wise. ‘Life needs to be undergone wisely. Man has to be aware of his destiny in this earthly life,’ Rudjito explained.

Secondly, enjoy your life. As Allah said in Al-Qur’an, ‘Anyone, who willingly undergoes life and approves reality, Allah will lead him new guidance.’

Thirdly, be patient. By being patient Allah will love and reward him/her better. Fourthly, be sincere. Allah has promised great reward for those who are always sincere. Fifthly, be qana’ah or accept any condition or situation of what he/she has done and prevent from being unsatisfied or greedy.

Sixthly, be istiqamah or diligent in doing his/her deed. This is the thing whing Allah Appreciates.

Let us implement the knowledge we get from campus to dedicate with the society. We will be considered as models to live successfully here and hereafter, far from being in hell.’ (AKN).

Wujud Rasa Senang Menyambut Ramadhan

“Barang siapa yang bergembira akan hadirnya bulan Ramadhan, maka jasadnya tidak akan tersentuh sedikit pun oleh api neraka.”

(HR. an-Nasa’i)

Begitulah ungkapan Rasulullah Saw. yang disampaikan oleh banyak pemuka agama menjelang datangnya Ramadhan. Begitu pula oleh dua penceramah dalam Tabligh Akbar Menyambut Bulan Suci Ramadhan.

Dr. H. Agus Taufiqurrahman, S.Ps., M.Kes. dan Ustadz Rudjito menjadi pembicara dalam acara yang bertemakan “Bersihkan Hati, Luruskan Niat dalam Menyambut Bulan Suci Ramadhan”.

Acara ini digelar di Masjid Ahmad Dahlan, Kompleks Islamic Center UAD, Jalan Ringroad Selatan, Bantul, pada Selasa (24/5/2016) dengan beragam peserta dari mahasiswa UAD dan masyarakat umum.

Menurut Rudjito, ada beberapa cara yang harus dijalankan dalam hidup, khususnya di bulan suci Ramadhan. Pertama, menyikapi hidup dengan bijak.

“Hidup itu harus dijalani dan disikapi, setiap manusia harus selalu menyadari perannya yang telah ditakdirkan untuk hidup di dunia ini,” terang Rudjito.

Kedua, yakni menikmati hidup. Seperti dalam firman Allah, “Barang siapa yang mau menjalankan dan menerima kenyataan, maka Allah akan memberikan petunjuk baru baginya.”

Ketiga, Sabar. Sebab dengan sabar, maka akan dikasihi dan digantikan dengan sesuatu yang lebih baik. Keempat adalah ikhlas. Ikhlas merupakan suatu hal yang sangat sulit untuk dijalankan bagi setiap orang. Maka dari itu, Allah telah menjanjikan imbalan yang luar biasa bagi orang yang mampu bersikap ikhlas. Kelima, yakni Qanaah. Qanaah berarti merasa cukup atau rela atas hasil yang telah diusahakannya dan menjauhkan diri dari sifat tidak puas dan merasa kurang.

Keenam, yaitu istiqamah. Istiqamah dalam beramal shalih merupakan hamba idaman Allah Swt.

“Mari kita kembangkan ilmu yang didapat di kampus kepada masyarakat. Karena kita akan dijadikan contoh bagi mereka untuk selamat dunia dan akhirat, juga terjauh dari api neraka.” (AKN)

A Book on Semiotics Easy To Understand

‘A good teacher always understands the students. That was what Dr. Rina Ratih expressed in her newly launched book entitled Teori dan Aplikasi Semiotik Michael Riffattere or Theory and Michael Riffattere’s Semiotic Application’ said Abdul Wachid B.S. when reviewing the book on Friday (03/06/2016) at Campus II Unit B (Sargede)

According to Abdul Wachid, the publication of the book will make the students easy to understand semiotics. The writer tells that there are few reviewers discussing Riffattere's Semiotics including the writer herself and Ida. This is due to the rarity of the book.

He added that the way the writer Rina Ratih was good. She makes use of Riffattere’s way of thinking from the theory to its application.

‘This book is for third and fourth semester university students. The language of the book is simple.’ Rina Ratih, who is a lecturer at Indonesian Language and Arts Education (PBSI) explained as she was asked about the book by a delegate of Higher Education Directorate General (Dirjen Dikti)

‘She is consistent enough to write a book every year. She is among few writers of UAD lecturers,’ commented Sule Subaweh, her former student, who was present at the event. The short story writer also expressed his impression of her talent from the time he was her student.

‘I love her way of teaching and her consistence to write. I learn much from her. I hope other lecturers follow her,’ Sule added.

At another session a student asked her about her role as a lecturer amidst her activity to write.

‘Being a lecturer is a matter of choice to be a productive or an unproductive lecturer,’ answered Ratih.

The book can be a reference in case there are students, who want to write similar topics. It can also be a model to write a book.
